At the airport
Taking care of your child
At the check-in counter, our agents will inform you of the time and place to drop off your child. A staff member will verify your child's travel documents at the designated time. In most airports, one of our agents will accompany them to the boarding area, where they will be supervised until they reach the aircraft door. In some airports, you must accompany your child to the boarding gate. In this case, a pass will be issued to you to facilitate your passage through security and safety checks with your child.
Waiting for the departure of your child's flight
The accompanying person must wait to receive a text message confirlation that the flight has taken off before leaving the airport. In the event of a flight cancelation, the accompanying person may be required to look after the child while waiting for a new flight. The pick-up person at destination will also receive the estimated arrival time of the flight via text message.
The Air France app: follow your child's flight in real-time
With the Air France app, you can follow all the steps of your child's flight in real-time and share its status with the pick-up person. From drop-off to boarding, from take-off to landing: follow your child's every move!
Kids Solo connection rooms
During their connection, your child stays under the airline's constant supervision. This also applies if the accompanying person is traveling with the child but in a different cabin.
When the connection lasts more than 1 or 2 hours (depending on the aiport), the child is greeted in the Kids Solo connection rooms at Paris-Orly and Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
- These spaces are specially designed and adapted to the needs of the child: rest areas, reading rooms (in partnership with Bayard Jeunesse), television, toys and board games, foosball...
- Complimentary WiFi connection is also available.
- A meal service is provided when the connection time allows for it.
La Premiere and Business lounges
If your child is traveling the Business and La Première cabins, access to our lounges is not offered. These places have self-service alcohol, and the Kids Solo service does not provide constant supervision of unaccompanied minors in our lounges.
